What is Free Ads Group
Free Ads Group is part of the Free Ads Group and is therefore a completely free online classifieds site. You can post classified adverts free of charge in any of the categories shown.
Is it free to place an advert? If so how do you make your money?
The Free Ads Group does not charge any of its users. Posting and searching is FREE for both individuals and companies. We make our income by displaying relevant sponsored adverts alongside the listings posted by our users.
How many adverts can I place?
Within reason you can place as many adverts as you wish. However each advert must be for a different item, product or service. Multiple identical or similar adverts in the same categories will simply be deleted. You may advertise groups of products provided each product is different and you do not submit too many at time. This policy is to prevent site users from looking at pages and pages of the same type of advert. Remember this site is all about exciting variety and you won’t go far wrong!
How do I place an advert?
Simple - go to the Advertise section where you register your email and password details and then you are ready to login to post an advert on the site. Once you have logged in just follow the instructions, it couldn’t be easier. It will probably take you less time than making a cup of tea!
Why do I need a password?
You need a password to log in to your unique account which keeps all your information secure and hidden from anyone else using the site. Your password can be a mixture of letters and numbers in lower or upper case. Try to choose a password that is memorable but not too common.
Can I add a photo with my advert?
Yes – you can add two photos to a Free Classified Advert. Simply follow the upload instructions but remember that very large photos may cause your computer to time out and not upload. Choose photos that are a sensible size or reduce the size by using appropriate software.
How quickly will my advert go live?
To protect our site users from the potential of abusive or illegal content all adverts are reviewed by our editorial team before they go live. This process can take up to 48 hours but is usually much quicker.
I have filled in all my advert details and submitted it but it is not visible on the site?
If your advert has not appeared on our site within 48 hours of being submitted we may have a temporary technical problem or it is possible that your content may be against our company guidelines – in the which case it will simply be deleted. If you have any problems putting up an advert please feel free to contact us.
How long will my advert stay online for?
If you are advertising something long term such as a service or a hotel your ad will stay on the site for up to 12 months. However to stop the site content getting stale we delete all adverts offering items for sale or short term offers after 60 days. You will receive an automatic email to warn you of this with an option to re-advertise at any time.
How do I delete my advert?
Simply go to the Login page for the area you registered with and enter your user name and password which will take you to your own admin area on the site and then choose which option you require. If you edit your advert please note that the original version will remain online until the changes to the updated advert have been reviewed by our editorial team.
Why can’t I log in?
If you are experiencing problems logging in it may be that you are using the wrong password. Alternatively you may have cookies disabled on your computer or your security setting may be too high. If you are sure you are using the correct password then it is probably computer trouble – if this is the case it might be worth trying a different computer.
How do buyers or customers contact me?
They can use either the email form available or the contact phone number displayed on your advert.
I´ve heard about internet scams how can I avoid being seen off or swindled?
If possible try to meet face to face with the buyer or seller, be very aware of exactly who you are dealing with and avoid foreign buyers, especially from Nigeria. Keep abreast of all the latest scams and don’t be too trusting and you should be perfectly OK.
